Forests and the Appalachian Mountain Club <\/p>\n<p>When: Thursday, Sept. 24, 6:00 &#8211; 8:00 PM <\/p>\n<p>Where: Mill Brook Elementary School multi-purpose room, 53 S. Curtisville Road, Concord<\/p>\n<p>Why:  Northern Pass&#8217;s latest proposal to build an electric transmission line to carry hydropower from Quebec through New Hampshire calls for burying just about a third of the 190-mile line. That means the towns and cities &#8212; including Concord &#8212; along the remaining two-thirds of the route still would have to sacrifice views and landscapes for the benefit of a private corporation. <\/p>\n<p>We think that&#8217;s wrong, and we&#8217;d like to show you why.
