Regionalists and urbanists would like you to think that the idea that Agenda 21 goals are being implemented by your local boards is "all in your imagination". And yet, opposition from all over the country is pretty strong for something that supposedly doesn't exist.
Missouri Bans Agenda 21 The effort to ban Agenda 21 in Missouri, widely celebrated by activists from across the political spectrum, comes in the wake of similar moves to stop the UN plan across America. In Alabama, for example, lawmakers in both houses unanimously approved a law last year prohibiting the international Òsustainable developmentÓ agenda within the state. Numerous other states are working to do the same, and multiple legislatures have adopted strongly worded resolutions blasting the program.
Vero Beach pulls out of program that promoters admit is 'fascist' The folks at Stop Seven50 [LINK] report that Mayor Craig Fletcher attended a briefing given by proponents of Seven50 and reported that they said city and county government would be less important, mega regions would be the new political division, the seven Florida counties that are part of the partnership would have someone to control them, and coprorate fascism was the best form of government to implement these changes. To hear the man who created the plan admit everything that has ever been criticized about these plans, listen to his chilling presentation here: Andres Duany [VIDEO]
Sustainability Coalition: No ties to U.N., Agenda 21 (?) University professor Michael Reed of the Universrity of Findlay Ohio, has invited Mark Potok, representative of the country's #1 HATE GROUP to 'explain' Agenda 21 to the residents. Perpetrators of the program openly admit to having to stop using the word 'sustainbility' to hide their goals.
Menifee Council takes political stand against Agenda 21 "The people of Menifee -- not faceless bureaucrats in Sacramento or Washington D.C. -- will decide how their city develops." - "By taking a stand and adopting this resolution, we are giving notice to our staff and the surrounding areas and regional joint power authorities that while we might be sitting members, Menifee will always continue to make land-use decisions based on what's best for Menifee and not the region," Mayor Scott Mann said.
Pennsylvania County Rejects Agenda 21 "Montgomery, and surrounding counties, including neighboring Philadelphia County, joined in 2007 for, like many other communities, the purpose of buying software to calculate the county's carbon footprint. ICLEI's mission is to help local governments achieve global sustainability, according to the organization's charter. Edmond, Oklahoma joined for the same reason but the city recently rejected its membership, partly because local residents learned that a city's agreement to that same charter places the city under the jurisdiction of the ICLEI."
First Ohio Town to Reject Agenda 21 - Marysville "Whereas, neither the United States government, nor any state or local government, is legally bound by United Nations Agenda 21 since it has never been ratified by the United States Senate"
Tennessee Passes Resolution Slamming "Socialist" UN Agenda 21 The popular measure (HJR 587) in Tennessee was passed by a bipartisan 72-to-23 landslide in the state House of Representatives last month. And on Tuesday, it was overwhelmingly approved in the Senate with 19 in favor and 11 against.
Gaston County Smacks Down Agenda 21 Gaston County commissioners have done something very good for which we should all be thanking them. They recently voted unanimously to adopt a resolution rejecting Agenda 21 and all of the tenets therein Ð a United Nations doctrine that has been wrecking the sovereignty of the United States for years.
More States, Cities and Counties Reject Agenda 21
In the past 18 months, 138 Cities and Counties have seen the light and that number will likely grow by 19 more to 157 as laws in Tennessee, Arizona and Alabama go into effect outlawing Agenda 21 / ICLEI in those states.
Communites are Fighting Agenda 21... Agenda 21 is a threat coming from the United Nations that is invading every city and town in the nation. It leads to control over private property, energy use, water use; it means government will control how hot your shower may be, how much air conditioning or heat you may use, controls on owning and using your car, controls on food production, controls on population growth, and so much more.
Arkansas People reject UN Agenda 21 Land Grab (Photos) Despite several thousand dollars spent to promote the Lake Maumelle Watershed Plan (paid for by utility payers of course), most of the people who attended the "public" meeting that was held at The Winfield United Methodist Church were opposed to the plan.
Victory in the Making Landowners sue and win to protect their property rights in Houston County, Minnesota.
3 municipalities adopt Cornwall-Lebanon land-use plan - with reservations Supervisors in Lebanon, PA., proposed preamble to protect local laws which read in part, "The policies, covenants, codes or laws of other groups or bodies, including without limitation the United Nations, shall not be a basis for land-use policies, rules, regulations or ordinances established by our municipalities". But it was rejected. Signing onto a HUD grant automatically assumes it is know that it means the federal government reserves the right to change those codes and laws.
CODEX ALIMENTARIUS
You probably have heard how Monsanto has created genetically modified vegetable seeds which are now overtaking and wiping out heritage seeds. The Monsanto Protection Act [Link] has been passed to protect the company from any lawsuits. The UN has a program called Codex Alimentarius that seeks to outlaw simple nutrients and control what kind of food can be produced in the world. Dr. Rima Laibow explains in this video.
