MAP-21 Transportation Grants

Not happy to control your property and water rights, the Obama administration has authorized yet another federal grant program called MAP-21 to deal with transportation issues.

Make no mistake about it, this is yet another Agenda 21-driven plan to dictate to towns and cities what they can and can’t do with regard to transportation.

“MAP-21 takes effect October 1, 2012. The new law provides $561 million in fiscal year (FY) 2013 and $572 million in FY 2014 for the Agency’s administrative expenses and grant programs. The Agency is beginning to reach out to stakeholders as it continues to implement this law and invites your feedback. Please email your comments to fmcsamap21@dot.gov”

This bill also has within it grant funding to promote alternative transportation and livable walkable community projects like sidewalks, bike trails etc. The grant funding is being allotted differently.

It sets up a competitive selection process. The funding is connected with pollution mitigation projects.
