Despite Trump, the world is turning a corner on climate change

In defiance of anything that might be done at the federal level to stop Agenda 21 and 2030 (there is no difference between the two, Agenda 21 was merely renamed to Agenda 2030) States and Cities and Towns are plowing ahead with the goals of urbanism and regionalism, which is the subject of this blog.

According to the American Policy Center’s Tom DeWeese, there is no difference in the goals and as we have noted locally, the agenda(s) keep marching on.

“The 2030 Agenda is nothing more than a reboot of Agenda 21. The UN uses such updates of plans to keep their people excited and involved. The 2030 Agenda simply goes in to more detail as to how and what they intend to do. Remember, Agenda 21 was introduced as the “comprehensive blueprint for the reorganization of human society.” The 2030 Agenda gives more detail on how that is to be done, along with providing a more specific date for its full implementation. In reality there’s nothing new here. It’s still Agenda 21!” he wrote.

Is This What It’s Come To?

Here’s how once group of activists responded to the threat of property confiscation…

According to the group “Empower Texans“:

“The City of Weatherford was prepared to rush through involuntary annexations of over 50 properties in the Zion Hill area. City council members had hoped to conclude the process quickly, before a new state law takes effect December 1 that will require certain cities to get owners’ approval before annexing their property.”

Apparently the city could take private land without the owner’s permission. But citizens pushed back by organizing to change the law. It is only through the actions of ordinary citizens like these who speak up about government injustices, will those injustices be remediated.

Regional Planning Commission Fears Loss of Federal Funding

According to this September 18, 2017 article in the Valley News, “The threat of potential cuts to federal transportation spending has left one Upper Valley agency questioning how it can continue to provide services without its main source of revenue.

The Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission, which represents 27 communities in New Hampshire, is currently discussing the formation of a nonprofit some say could attract foundation support and provide stable funding into the future, allowing the organization to continue its efforts promoting regional transportation projects.”

And just what do you think the agenda of such a ‘foundation’ might be? If past experience is any indication, it’s not something we should celebrate.

The article goes on to explain when and why “regional planning commissions” were created:

“Created by the Legislature in 1968, New Hampshire’s nine regional planning commissions are designed to help the state’s communities by assisting in the drafting of master plans, developing zoning ordinances and sometimes providing staff to work alongside local land use boards. The commissions also help municipalities secure grant funding and facilitates development of the state’s transportation plan.”

Of note, is that they are discussing a partnership with the “North Country Council” which is NH’s little-known “tenth” regional planning group. This group overlaps international boundaries into Canada.

Letter to the Editor of The Herald Journal, Utah

This fantastic letter pertaining to “Envision Utah” (a program similar to NH’s Granite State Future) was seen online as it was submitted to the Herald Journal in Utah.

This is what every citizen should know and question about their government, in every single state, where similar programs are being conducted, often without the knowledge or approval of the general public.

To the editor:

Whether one realizes it or not there is a war going on in this country between two ideologies/philosophies. In the news an example is the war playing out with President Trump. His expression aside, the real issue is that his views are contrary to the bureaucracy, to the power controlling this country for over a hundred years.

Ask your children what is, “Our Global Neighborhood”? Ask teachers, nurses, high school students, college students, your forest ranger, local officials. What is “Envision Utah”? What is “Common Core”? Ask contractors what they know about “sustainable development” and farmers about federal land management policy. No doubt they have heard of these but don’t really know what any of them really are, or who is behind them, or why, yet they are willing to adopt and follow as directed. Ask local boards, like those who are deciding what you can do with your property, how they were appointed and what constitutional principle they are following in making decisions. Ask what nongovernmental organizations are directing our policy for local development of housing, roads, and use of personal property.

Why should any of this matter to you? Consequences! What is the war? In simple terms it is explained by identifying and comparing principles of light, truth, freedom, verses darkness of excessive power, control, and greed. Do people who are “elite,” so called “experts,” supposedly better educated, people who “care more,” people who know better than you what is good for you, do these people have the right to make your decisions? Do unelected bureaucracies have the right to decide what is acceptable use of available resources, the right to decide what is allowed in a “free market” and what is acceptable immigration to benefit their interests? Should these people through bureaucracy and regulations be allowed to create an administrative state that has complete power for the “common good,” to promote “central planning” and direction of humanity as a resource through workforce training?

Public policy designed by professionals and bureaucrats; implemented administratively with minimal elected input is assured by economic incentives and disincentives and with public relations campaigns coordinated by government-funded non-government organizations. It is time to become involved, educated and willing to act. Refuse all tax increases which fund this process and stop donating to NGO’s.

The UN Still Thinks It’s Your Government

The Corbett Report exposes propaganda from the United Nations that claims they are going to make poor countries rich by redistribution of your wealth, and do it in an environmentally friendly way. This is the agenda that permeates your local government, even when it is being led by so-called ‘conservatives’. Corbett interviews Rosa Koire, a leader in exposing Agenda 21/Agenda 2030…

Who is Running the Store? It’s NOT the Taxpayers

Did you ever wonder why, even after the taxpayers have had their say against building a commuter rail system for NH, for example, the agenda for a ‘study committee’ marches on? Did you ever wonder how these projects get approved even after the public has said a resounding NO?

The Carsey Institute is a well-funded PRIVATE foundation that works out of the state-funded University of NH. Why should this concern you?

NH Listens Logo

NH Listens is a PR firm that is employed by The Carsey Institute. They hold “listening sessions” for town and school issues in an attempt to influence what the taxpayers think and want. They often attempt to sway their views to favor more raising of taxes, taking of federal lands, building projects like commuter rail, levying fees for water use, or worse yet, no more private ownership of water allowed, and a myriad of other issues that taxpayers oppose because they violate property rights. They are also used to influence school issues as well (search on Pittsfield, NH on this blog.)

They like to pretend their facilitators are neutral and just there to run a discussion group, but as you can see, they are NOT pulling any punches in this description of an upcoming training session for potential facilitators.

If you would like to see for yourself and attend, you must register HERE.

Please note that the NH Listens website is now part of the Carsey Institute website at UNH. You will see from past workshop descriptions they actually admit to working with UNH Theatre professor David Kaye and his group, Power Play Interactive Development. Yes my friends, ACTORS.

This is a very important part of your activism. Many PRIVATE outside groups, NOT government groups, and NOT the taxpayers, are determining NH’s future spending and programs. We have seen it with the Regional Planners, we see it in the Universities. Commuter rail is but one major issue. We need to learn their tactics before we can stop them from interfering in local control.

This week, UNH didn’t mind bragging about how NH Listens won an American Civic Collaboration Award for advancing Civic Engagement. It makes no mention of their agenda.

UNH states: “Since 2000, NH Listens has helped Granite State residents talk and work together to create communities that work for everyone.

“More than ever before, America’s future depends on working together,” said Big Tent Nation, organizers of the event. “We need to celebrate the people and initiatives that leverage collaboration and creativity to strengthen communities, heal partisan divides and invigorate American democracy. That’s why we created the American Civic Collaboration Awards – or Civvys.”

Just who is Big Tent Nation? A quick visit to their website tells us that they are made up of many groups who claim to be non-partisan, or bi-partisan, but are really offshoots of the vast left-wing Soros-funded network: Coffee Party (Soros), New America Foundation (Soros), Brookings, and No Labels (Soros again), to name a few.

UNH lists another one of the sponsors of the award as Bridge Alliance. A visit to their site reveals even more left-wing groups in the Soros-funded network, including Living Room Conversations, a group that is run by Joanne Blades, founder of the Soros-funded MoveOn.org. Van Jones is also involved in the organization. Currently they are conspiring with “conservative” Mark Meckler to bring about an Article V or Constitutional Convention in order to CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION.

Many of us do not fall for this bi-partisanship ruse. Neither should you. But this is who is determining what goes on in your schools and towns in NH. They will continue to violate the public trust, until you, the taxpayers, GET OFF YOUR COLLECTIVE EASY CHAIRS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Dr Ben Carson Continues OBAMA HUD Policies

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THIS ARTICLE MADE ON OCTOBER 11, 2017
A NH Republican has been named as New England Regional Administrator of HUD, Boston. Does this now mean yet another Republican is going to help enforce Obama’s unconstitutional policies?

http://www.wmur.com/article/former-congressional-staffer-david-tille-named-hud-new-england-regional-administrator/12467835

This comes from John Anthony, our friend at Sustainable Freedom Labs.

Is it time for Ben Carson to step down?

Dr. Ben Carson of HUD

Dr. Ben Carson of HUD

Let me be clear, I like Dr. Ben Carson. I was a supporter of his during the 2016 primaries and appreciated his many books long before he considered running for public office. His story is one of courage and perception. But, since his confirmation as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Carson has unfortunately displayed little courage.

Under Secretary Carson, HUD continues to fund and execute its Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) program, forcefully micromanaging the housing policies of unsuspecting local communities, in the process ravaging property rights and local rule, the very foundation of our free American society.

Just because a practice intends to do good, and even does some good, does not mean that it is a healthy long‐term program for most of low‐income families nor for the rest of Americans.

In 2010 Dr. Carson wrote a book about taking risk. “I wanted to send a message to Americans that we’ve become a nation of yellow‐bellies,” he said in an interview. “What we’re buying, and what everyone is selling us, is the promise of security.”

Here was a man capable of showing courage and compassion, exactly the mix of spine and support that low‐income families in America need. Yet, today, Dr. Cason sounds more like the salesman than the risk‐ taker.

HUD policies make heroic attempts to rescue the poor, yet pay scant attention to the limits they place on the futures of low‐income families, nor how the very so-called “sustainable development” policies the agency promotes create new centers of poverty and relocate formerly urban crime into the suburbs.

As urbanist Richard Florida states in his book, The New Urban Crisis,

“Seemingly overnight, the much‐hoped‐for urban revival has turned into a new kind of urban crisis.” The author explains that low‐income families have been financially forced out of the cities, bringing drugs and gangs to terrorize suburban communities. The children of the white upper‐income suburbanites are now flocking to the city centers driving even greater income inequality and lack of affordable housing. Florida, claims “this is much more than a crisis of cities. The New Urban Crisis is the central crisis of our time.”

HUD policies like AFFH with its multitude of requirements, Moving to Opportunity, and Small Area Fair Market Rents, all of which dislocate the poor and force centrally mandated racial (and other) quotas on communities, enact the very policies that contribute to the New Urban Crisis.

I was hopeful after reading Dr. Carson’s 2015 Washington Times article in which he compared HUD’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing rule to busing, a practice he called, “the failed Socialist policies of the 80’s,” that he would end this destructive rule.

Yet AFFH continues its advance. HUD continues to train its staff on policies and procedures to enforce AFFH compliance and determine which communities must receive help, called technical assistance, in implementing the top-down HUD rules.

Part of the “technical assistance” is helping communities complete the Assessment of Fair Housing (AFH) application required to receive the HUD grant funds. Those requirements may include forcing racial quotas on communities that are deemed too white or too affluent, restrictive community land use and zoning laws that must comply with HUD demands, and forcing local planning to be aligned with HUD’s top-down regional data planning, regardless of what people in that community may desire.

Make no mistake, by aligning local and regional planning, local governments are preparing their own jurisdictional subservience. Regions, with their un-elected bureaucratic councils, have the power to override local voters’ decisions, and mandate backyard zoning. Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing spells the demise of our representative form of government.

Yet, despite this cataclysmic overreach into our local communities and homes – our most sacred space, rather than terminate the AFFH rule, Dr. Carson only agreed to its “reinterpretation.” When a patient has a brain tumor, you do not reinterpret it, Dr. Carson, you excise it.

Though HUD rightfully operates under the umbrella of the Civil Rights and the Fair Housing Acts to protect minority rights, the agency must also consider its impact on all Americans. HUD’s actions affect more than just the poor and protected classes. They affect all of us. Yet HUD fails to consider the large-scale impact of its policies on all areas of society.

For example, In November 2015, HUD introduced the “Equal Access in Accordance With an Individual’s Gender Identity in Community Planning and Development Programs” rule continuing its expansion into the dubious mission of recasting America’s culture.

The Equal Access rule provides transgenders and those who do not identify with their actual birth sex with access to programs, benefits, services, and accommodations in accordance with their chosen gender identity, despite the fact that the scientific evidence for this ideology is weak at best.

To hijack the Fair Housing Act to accommodate individual sexual proclivities undermines the credibility and value of the entire agency. Further, this faddish ruling goes against the values of the Trump administration, Sec. Carson, and the overwhelming bulk of the American electorate that put the administration in office. Yet it continues to be enforced by HUD.

HUD often justifies such programs using friendly research performed by ideologically like-minded firms such as the left-leaning Urban Institute. Yet sadly, these analyses are often devoid of any concern for property rights and local rule, the very DNA of American prosperity, and they often fail to examine whether these programs actually produce the results they purport to achieve, or even worse – if they actually compound the very problems they wish to solve.

For example, when Hanna Rosen wrote her explosive 2008 article in The Atlantic, “American Murder Mystery,” HUD and HUD apologists swarmed to refute her claim that crime followed section 8 voucher users into the suburbs.

Leading scholars claimed that Rosen’s article was a case of “mistaken identity.” That crime did not follow urban families into the suburbs. NYU researchers fired off a census study using “longitudinal, neighborhood‐level crime and voucher utilization data” to defend HUD’s popular program. Yet, numerous studies (here’s one, and another) have confirmed the link between HUD voucher programs and increased crime.

Perhaps Dr. Carson is surrounded by well‐intended apologists who will defend programs like AFFH and Move to Opportunity in the belief that any improvement trumps none. Or maybe the HUD hallways contain more political operatives and establishment types that mislead more than inform. Whatever the cause, Dr. Carson is not forging the changes that will provide a secure net, help the poor out of poverty, and respect the rights of local communities to manage their own affairs.

So where do we go from here? Dr. Carson should immediately: 1) Rescind AFFH, and 2) Rescind the Equal Access rule. Everyone else, contact your representatives and tell them the same.

Dr. Carson, please do not join that “nation of yellow‐bellies.” I respect you and our nation needs leaders who can analyze the problems and make the right calls, no matter how tough nor how unpopular.

Yours in liberty,
John

“NO CHOICE – How HUD Controls Your Property Rights” is a DVD that explains the most aggressive grab of local authority in our history. It goes unnoticed because many local officials have been safely accepting HUD grants for decades. THE RULES HAVE CHANGED. Affordable housing is now the centerpiece of a federal initiative to move your hometown into a centrally managed region.

The new “No Choice” DVD shows how HUD uses threats of discrimination and civil rights violations to control the economic makeup of neighborhoods, the size of real estate lots and even the number of people per acre.

PLEASE SHARE THIS DVD WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS AND PUBLIC OFFICIALS.

Learn how HUD partnered with the Department of Education to bring socio-economic integration into classrooms and regionalize education. HUD’s new Blueprint for Success draws on the American Planning Association to redesign neighborhoods using the 1968 Civil Rights Act.

The “new” HUD has expanded beyond anything its authors ever imagined.

“No Choice” shows how HUD’s Affordable Housing mandate now includes social and behavioral data to entice children to take on costly college loans. How the agency identifies “areas of opportunity” to move low-income families into affluent areas, even when they prefer to remain in their neighborhoods.

HUD’s power grab is so overwhelming, most find it hard to comprehend. “NO CHOICE” breaks the information down into 10 chapters to make it easy to access and share.

You can receive quantity discounts to help share the information with others.

Agenda 21 or Agenda 2030? What is the Difference?

This article is a “Must Read” for everyone who still doesn’t understand how all-encompassing the UN’s agenda is.

No-United-Nations

Editor’s Note:

Many times in the past year, when I have continued to use the term Agenda 21, people will rush in to correct me – “It’s Agenda 2030 now!” Well, yes and no. This is what the UN does – it changes names and titles like a judo move – but the plan is the same. Remember, that’s just what ICLEI did a few years ago when they changed their name. They were originally named the International Council for Local Environmental Initiative. But when we started to reveal that they were part of a global movement to change our way of life by inserting themselves into local policy making, they quickly moved to drop the “international” from their name. Now they are simply known as “ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability.” That’s how these cock roaches seek to hide when a bright light is shown on them. The name changes, but the game is the same.

The 2030 Agenda is nothing more than a reboot of Agenda 21. It’s still Agenda 21!

So, I wanted to reissue an article I wrote in 2015 about Agenda 2030, when it was first announced, to help build understanding of its threat, but to also assure you that Agenda 21 and its goal to restructure the world is still very much alive. As I say in the article, now we should better understand what we are fighting because they are clearly telling us. Please pass this on and help others to understand the threat. It’s very real.

Which NH Cities are ICLEI Cities?

The Carbonn Climate Registry (CCR) was founded in November 2010 at the World Mayors Summit on Climate in Mexico City, but it is operated by the Bonn Center for Local Climate Action and Reporting. The latter is hosted by the ICLEI World Secretariat, also in Bonn. Accordingly, CCR states on its website:

The Carbonn® Climate Registry is the leading global reporting platform for cities, towns and regions tackling climate change. It helps local and other subnational governments to track and report on their targets, actions and performance. This platform allows for exchange, learning and benchmarking among its 950+ registered entities while providing data that feeds into global climate negotiations through ICLEI as focal point for the Local Governments and Municipal Authorities constituency.

World Mayors Summit? Once again, not an official governmental agency, but an ad hoc special interest group with NO power to enforce their ideas.

Which cities in NH belong to ICLEI? Keene, Nashua, Portsmouth, Wolfeboro. It is not certain if Epping or Wolfeboro still belong, but the ICLEI website has them listed on this website:
